Hmocestry (“we”, “us”) provides a family tree and whiteboard product at hmocestry.com. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

• Account details such as email, display name, and authentication data
• Family tree content you add (names, relationships, dates, notes)
• Photos and captions you upload
• Basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service

How we use information

We use your data to operate Hmocestry: show your whiteboard, store photos, send invites you request, and keep accounts secure. We do not sell your family data.

Sharing

Family content is visible to people you connect within your trees according to product rules. We use trusted infrastructure providers (currently AWS) to host the app, database, and photo storage. We may disclose information if required by law.

Photos and storage

Uploaded photos are stored in our cloud storage and may be delivered through a CDN for performance. You should only upload photos you have the right to share.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and tree data while your account is active. Contact us to request account deletion; we will remove or anonymize personal data except where we must retain records for legal or security reasons.
